Education, though no an immediate solution, gradually flourishes in a nurturing environment. While the educational system often focuses on a small percentage of high achievers, there's significant potential in the majority. Recognizing this, The Alliance Cultural Foundation, in collaboration with National Taitung University Affiliated Physical Education Senior High School since the 2013 academic year, has developed ecological tourism courses. These courses leverage the inherent strengths of students, many of whom aspire to be athletes, but might not all achieve this dream, leading to a loss of confidence.
To address this, National Taitung University Affiliated Physical Education Senior High School provided ample support and flexibility for external instructors and coaches, enabling students to explore beyond just athletic ambitions. The curriculum, starting in 2014, included cycling and mountain-sea sports, integrated with humanities education, allowing students to learn by doing and to engage deeply in their studies. This approach not only helps in nurturing their athletic skills but also aids in their overall personal development and self-realization. By 2016 and 2017, the program had expanded to include industry internships, further enriching the students' practical experience and learning.
