Local Music Talent Development

Indigenous children's natural talents in music and art are their strengths but often remain untapped due to lack of structured learning and performance opportunities. To address this, ACF has been inviting professional educators to foster local learning and unearth young artistic potential.

In 2010, ACF invited internationally renowned artists like Cai Guo-Qiang and Lin Hwai-min for the 'Hualien-Taitung Youth Art Creation Camp', inspiring local children's talents. The following year, in collaboration with various organizations, the platform held the 'Latin Summer' concert and workshops in Taitung, blending indigenous and world music and highlighting the need for sound control talent in the region.

From 2012, efforts included promoting diverse singing styles, particularly A Cappella, by partnering with Vocal Asia. This led to training programs for local teachers and the hosting of the 'Vocal Asia Festival' in Taitung, establishing it as a nurturing ground for Taiwanese vocal groups and integrating A Cappella with indigenous music to create unique local music.

In 2012, to foster percussion skills, ACF invited Ju Percussion Group to Taitung. In 2015, 'god of Guitar' MASA taught guitar techniques and stage skills to students in Taitung, enhancing their musical talents. These efforts address the hidden artistic potential in indigenous children, who often lack structured learning and performance opportunities. By bringing professional educators, ACF aimed to develop these talents and provide platforms for local artists.
