History

Since its inception, The Alliance Cultural Foundation, alongside its partner, the Cheng Zhi Education Foundation, has focused on the educational development of rural areas. In 2012, with Chairman Stanley Yen at the helm, they aimed to equalize educational opportunities in Hualien and Taitung and move beyond the singular focus on academic advancement. This initiative highlighted the urban-rural educational resource divide and aimed to support economically disadvantaged children through the dedicated efforts of various tutoring organizations across Taiwan.

To bolster the management skills of these organizations and facilitate more efficient operations, The Alliance Cultural Foundation and Cheng Zhi Education Foundation hosted a "Social Entrepreneurship Camp - Rural Tutoring" in January 2013 for 14 tutoring units, followed by a year-long growth program. Additionally, in July of the same year, a four-day "Mentorship Workshop" was organized to recharge frontline educators with new skills and experiences, thereby broadening the scope and effectiveness of rural tutoring education.
